Brief Editorial on The Cat Shack Motorsports

Things have gone great our first year in business! We have met some amazing people from all over the world, acquired many loyal and greatly appreciated customers and are having a blast.  We opened in June of 2008 under the name of Blenkhorn’s Classic Motors, and have learned a lot about the recreation industry. Bike sales in 2008 were good but we did not know what we were going to do for the winter and fall season; so we were approached by the owner of the Cat Shack Motorsports, Arctic Cat dealer in Elmsdale, to see if we were interested in purchasing the business. After much discussion and thought, we agreed and purchased the business along with THE CAT SHACK MOTORSPORTS name along with hiring three of their former employees. The winter went well with lots of snow and sales were above average. We were then approached by the former Powerwheels in April to purchase the Suzuki franchise . After much consideration we purchased the Suzuki franchise and hired two of their former employees. We have since continued to import used bikes from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and mostly USA. We have added a second level to our 10000 sq ft building located at the former Happy Harry’s building at 70 Juniper Street and we employee 10 people. We have become a distributor of Leather, Helmets, Tires, Batteries, and any other item you need for your motorcycle, ATV, side by side, snowmobile or trailer. We have a modern service department with two very experienced technicians who both are qualified to MVI trailers and Motorcycles.
